Artificial Sweeteners Or Sweeteners Useful Or Harmful?
Replace sugar with artificial sweeteners which can be 'bitter' for your body
In Pakistan, India, it is common to ask guests for tea or water. If the guest wants to drink tea instead of syrup or lassi, the second question is asked about the amount of sugar in the tea. The answer is to add less, more or no sugar. Guests have also been heard to say, 'I have completely given up sugar for health reasons.' Nowadays, I only use sugar-free sweeteners or sweeteners in my tea or coffee.'
But if you think cutting out sugar and using sugar-free or artificial sweeteners will make you lose weight or feel fit and healthy, know that it won't because the World Health Organization (WHO) has revealed that consumption of sugar-free sweets is the cause of 'fatal' diseases.
WHO has made these recommendations based on several research reviews. According to a World Health Organization research review, artificial sweeteners do not help with weight loss or the risk of related diseases.
A research review found that using NSS as a sugar substitute did not help adults or children lose weight in the long term.
"People should consider other options to reduce sugar consumption," says Francisco Branca, director of nutrition and food safety at the WHO. Like fruit or foods and drinks, which have natural sweeteners and no added sugar.'
What is an artificial sweetener?
Artificial sweeteners (NSS) are also used in toothpaste, skin creams and medicines, so should we give them up too?

Artificial sweeteners are 700 times more potent than sugar. It affects a part of the brain and affects the metabolism.
